I was wondering if a flock does better if there is an odd number of birds or an even number, or if it even matters?

If the even hnumber is two and the odd numbr is thre or higher and one chicken dies, yes it matters. If the even number is higher than a two, it does not matter in my experience.

Quote:All my friends thought I was "odd" for keeping chickens back in the day, so I guess it doesn't matter. Now-a-days with the economics, many of them are also keeping chickens.

P.S. I don't think chickens can count, so odd/even for # in flock makes no difference. (to them)
