In your experience, which of these lay best throughout the cold season?

    Barred Plymouth Rock
    RIR
    Welsummer
    Gold Laced Wyandotte

Now which one is supposed to lay best throughout the cold season?

My experience would say the Rhode Island Reds, followed by the Barred Plymouth Rocks. I have had all 4 breeds in times past. As far as which is supposed to, I have no idea. [IMG]

Our flock of BRs and RIRs all laid strong through last winter. This yr we have rock type chickens of different mixes and they also are laying well. Black Jersey Giants, RIR, PR and Del mixes.

Barred Plymouth Rocks and Rhode Island Reds lay really well throughout the winter.
