    My horses:

Return to Oz; 4 year old, Bay, Anglo-Arabian, gelding. I have had him for over two years, and we are training for Endurance and cross country.
Lola Lolita Lou: Unknown Age, Unknown Breed (gainted?), Sorel/Chestnut, Mare. She is a new rescue I 1/2 own and ride fully, she is simply working on getting chunky.

^ As you can tell Lola is doing a good job of getting chunky, she wont even lift her head for a picture! She is the ribby sorel in the background, and yes that is nearly 4 months after her rescue. She was a 1 on the body scale when she came to us, this is a masive improvement. I rode her today (very shortly, simply to see if she was broke) for the very first time and she is a BRAT, a B-R-A-T; but a fun little brat! She has more spunk than Ozzy!

I don't own any horses, but I wish I did! [IMG] And I used to take riding lessons for about a month, but haven't in about a year now...Too expensive. But my family's finances are better now, so I just might sign up for lessons again. I don't know. I hope I can. [IMG] The last time I went, I had only learned the basic skills and had just been practicing trotting...In fact on the last day I went, I almost fell off for the first time because while trotting my horse started cantering randomly and I had never ridden while cantering so it took me by surprise and I almost fell off, but thankfully I didn't...That was the last day I went I hope my instructor didn't think I never came back because of that quick yet frightening experience. Actually, I wasn't really frightened, I just got a little teary-eyed because I was a little embarrassed for a moment and she thought it was because I was scared. [IMG] LOL oh well...

I have a bunch of Breyer and other brand horse models and horse posters are all over my wall in my bedroom. [IMG] I love drawing horses as well!
    (Here's a picture I drew recently:)

Thats amazing! You have real skill and talent! I know what you mean abou how expensive lessons are, I had to quit for a while as well. [IMG]. Luckly my riding instructor is one of the nicest people on earth and has offered private lessons at my barn for the same price I paid for group lessons at her barn, I am very excited.

What style do you ride? (English, Western, etc?)

I ride english as well though I ride western with a few select horses. What discipline do you do, or just pleasure riding?

Oh, and thank you for the lovely comment about my horses. I love them to bits!

Quote:Well, while I had riding lessons I was learning to do the siting trot and rising trot and then canter, but never got that far. I was going to learn to do jumping and maybe dressage, too. [IMG] But now I haven't ridden in probably over a year, so I don't really know. [IMG]

Personaly I enjoy Dressage far more than jumping and it comes in handy for trails and endurance, not to mention Oz is a total baby when it comes to jumps.[IMG]

You said you collect Breyers? Have you ever been to Breyer fest?

Yes, its at the horse park. I go every year, but then again its only an hour or so away from me. If you ever want something there let me know and I will see if I can pick it up for you, there are thousands of vendors there every year. I adore the Alborozo Mold/model.
