Went on our typical feed store run yesterday, and they had goslings. I was in no way intending to get geese (we have a pile of bantam chickens) but I completely bonded to one of the little ones, and thought about her all night. I had geese as a kid, and adored them- they were the best pets we ever had! And I just kept pondering those goslings through this morning.

We already have a brooder set up but sitting empty...and more than enough housing space...and we happened to be right by the feed store again this morning...so here we are! The partner person picked the second gosling. He grumbled about them a lot, but pretty much the second we got home he was out playing with them, and they were following him everywhere. :)

I could use an assist on breed identification, as they had a mix of African and Toulouse geese. Judging by the bases of their bills, I'm thinking we have one African and one Toulouse- can anyone confirm? Thanks!

SO excited to be back in the Goose club!!

They aren't toulouse anyway.
They are either African or Chinese.
Really dark feet usually indicates Chinese.
Welcome to the goose club!!
