Hi again,
So thanks to everyone for the info about my other chicken, Lucky. This one has me worried pointed neck feathers I think??? He/She is a 4 week EE I bought as a pullet from a local feed store- I now know they aren't always correct. I had wanted a small back yard flock for eggs 5 hens at the most. 2 chicks my 5 yr old daughter hatched in class and I had no clue as what to look for at- let her pick. The other 2 I picked from feed store as mentioned above. I can't keep roos I live in city even though I hear them I think the crowing and fight will drive me nuts. Please help me.

A lot of EE pullets have more pointed neck feathers, so I really think it's too soon to tell for sure. BUT, I don't see ANYTHING which says rooster to me.

It's a pullet - not all EE's are able to be sexed by their feather coloring, but 'Spring' has very typical coloring for an EE pullet.

Secondary sex characteristics, like pointy neck and tail feathers, don't develop until well after 4 weeks. A lot of laced hens look like their hackle feathers are pointy just because of the coloring, but usually when you put a piece of white paper underneath a few feathers, you can see the actual shape of them.

i would say pullet theres another post of a 5 week old ee and there you can tell its for sure a boy.. you look to have a girl but its still early

ooo! that looks like a lovely little aracauna pullet! i have 2 they r fine birds in my opinion
