It is day 20. When I got up this morning i checke the bator before I went to work and there was an egg that had a chip in it. Before my wife left ther were at least two more. So i had my dad go over to my house to check on progress and he saw nothing. My concern is that he say he opened it to see. He knows nothing about incubation so he did not know to leave the top on. Do you guys htink this will hurt or are thing ok?

    Thanks

I don't think that they are hurt. It probably wasn't for long.

So long as he did not keep the bator open for a long time all should be well.

They can take a long time after they make a pip to zip. Just give them time and sit on your hands.[IMG]

Well guess what! I got up this morning and I had 6 lil babies. SILKIES! They came through for me. There are 5 more eggs and one is pipping so there should be more. Thanks for all the advice. I will post pics soon.

    Thanks.
