I am soo sad! We candled my eggs from Cyn because they weren't doing anything and we are in day 22, and only 2 looked probable! [IMG] We cracked the rest and they were all halfway developed. I think that this is because an unnamed sibling tripped over the turner cord and unplugged it in the middle of incubation. We think that they were unplugged for as long as and entire day and a half.

The good news is: The Blue Orp egg appeared to be developed! I hope hope hope that it will hatch! [IMG] The other one that looked developed was a Silver egg.

Come on chickie chickies!! I have already named them. The Orp is Valentine and the Ameraucana is Sweetheart.

*walks over to incubator and starts scolding eggs for being lazy*

"Hurry up and hatch you little buggers!!" [IMG]

OMGosh! I have bad news, and GREAT news.

Bad news: The 1 Ameraucana egg had no airsac so the little chickie suffocated. [IMG]

GREAT news: I have 1 rocking, rolling, peeping Orpington!!! [IMG]

Of course I am sad about the others, but I am pleased beyond words that I have this baby!! And besides that, I am pretty sure that the problems we have been having are a result of

a: the weather during shipment that wasn't all that wonderful

b: the PO and how ours handles mail (you would think that they were hucking potatoe sacs)

c: the few problems we have had with our incubators and turners.

What I know for sure is that ALL of Cyn's eggs that she sent me were fertile. So you have great fertility rates Cyn!!

I will update on the chick as SHE progresses. [IMG]
