Oh, oh.... came home and a couple girls are missing.

We had them in the garden while picking up some straw after dinner. Came home and they were gone. One is a 10 month old barred rock pullet, the other two 3 month old banty's. We looked for almost an hour with no sign... Anyone have ideas on what I should do?

Okay, just found the babies... sitting in a small dogwood by the coop. Literally 1 foot away, 5 feet up.... The Barred Hen is stil MIA

Hmm maybe something scared them and they are hiding?? Hopefully they will "come home" tomorrow.

Thanks Suzi. You must have posted at the same time. We found the little ones very close by... Hope the big girl found somewhere safe. We took care of the racoon last week, so hopefully no predators around tonight.

My big Barred Rock girl was poking in the garden this morning, wherever she was, she must know this is home now.

Thanks....Big house today with our new little ones. I thought they may have been scared off for good. Anyone here good at identifying bantam breeds? I posted on the What am I board. Still trying to find out if I have girls or boys. I have one definite roo and two hens. The other 5 are still up in the air. Breeds would be nice, but I have to rehome if there are boys. At least no crowing yet from the one.
