Oh Yeah!

My 17 week old EE hen (Fubs) just laid her first egg. I heard her doing the "song" on Monday so I ran up to check things out = nothing. Then when I got home from work on Tuesday my husband had a surprise for me. I was bent because I wanted to find the first egg! LOL He found it in the middle of coop, not in the nest boxes.
Anyhoo, I'm pretty happy. Good girl Fubbers!

Thanks to you all. I'm pretty stoked. This chicken thing is pretty exciting! I was going to blow the egg out and keep the shell. My daughter was goofing around and dropped the egg right by the coop where all the hens could see the "murder". LOL Too bad. All we can do now is wait for another one.
