OK, I am showing my ignorance VERY PIC HEAVY

and need help with gender so I can be sure my hubby only processes the roosters. Well all but what I need for my hens. Any info you can give me from these pics is great. I am not a photographer so feel free to laugh at the bad pics.

6 months and some are laying, just not sure which ones.

the bantams are about 5 months

Don't get me wrong. That is exciting but we ordered 10 Jersey Giant pullets and 15 mixed cockerals and if these pics are all hens we only have 6 going in the freezer. First timers luck??

With 17 hens, how many roosters would be good? Any suggestions??

that looks like an RIR hen to me but he may have just gotten all of his feathers picked out.
