I have 5 SS, and I *think*, I have a roo. At age (or what do I look for) do I make sure his high T doesn't hurt the hens?

My rooster, used to have two, were raised from day one in the brooder with the pullets and I never once had an injured pullet. Sure, the teen years were hard to watch - all the chasing, hollering from the pullets going on - but it's a part of life for chickens and trust me, it will bother you alot more than it will the pullets.
Raising them together and keeping them together is alot better IMO than having to make re-introductions later on. They'll grow up as one big happy family, after they get through the Testosterone Terror.

Thanks, gritsar.......... I needed that! Nice to know BYC has experienced help whenever you need it.
