Well, I've been married for 35 years so I'm not looking, but my neice is engaged to a very nice young guy that she met thru Match.com. Our neighbor (a young farmer) married a girl he met thru a dating site about 4 or 5 years ago.

I had so. much. fun. dating by finding guys online. It was like shopping with a really great return policy.

I met my husband through the History Channel forums. We both love history and developed a friendship and more there.

We have been married 10 years now.

DH and I met in high school, so no personal experience, but my cousin met his wife on match.com and now they're expecting their first baby!

I've tried Match.com, CountryMatch.com, and a few others, of them all Match was probably the best. I haven't had any luck even though I'm honest and upfront about being an animal lover and having a son. A funny kind anecdote though, I had met a fellow and gone on a few dates and things seemed to be going fairly well until he asked me if my son could go live with his dad for awhile so we could do a "trial living together" to see if we got a long. Told him not to let my glass door hit ya where there good Lord split ya!
Another took to me a baseball game and chomped gum in ear until I asked him to please stop. Then picked me up for a date the next day and complained that I was controlling because I asked him not to chew his gum loudly with his mouth open and smacking no less,,, right in my ear.
I guess if I were really looking harder I might have better luck. Oh yeah, the last one wouldn't come in the yard to the front door because he was terrified of the ducks....

Oh yeah,, forgot one heheheheh Met him at Applebees and he did nothing but complain about how women cheat on him on all the time, how he hates kids? Hates animals, doesn't like to camp or fish, everything I pretty much listed I love... Then he said: I've never been on a second date,,, I don't know why.
I excused myself and walked out.

Another started telling me how he lost his job as a counselor because he had porn on his work computer,, but it wasn't child porn, just hard core! I snuck out through the kitchen of the restaurant on that one.

I did meet a really nice guy a couple of years ago though, he was stationed at Ft. Bliss. He went overseas and never came back. But he was very nice!
