Andi - I had to look back to see what you were looking for - hatching eggs. I am not in the Tulsa area, so didn't respond to your request. As a practical matter, your broody hen will stay broody for awhile so you have a week or two to find her some hatching eggs. Just remove the small one she is setting in when you place a dozen hatching eggs beneath her, or remove the chick from the small egg when it hatches and brood it separate, so she doesn't leave her nest.
Hope this helps a little.
WHO IS IN THE TULSA/SAPULPA are that can help Andisgarden out with some hatching eggs?
I actually called her today about a different matter and am sending her some eggs to hatch out. I don't get on here, either. It just goes too fast and things do get lost in the shuffle. She told me about her frustration and rant and I thought I would see for myself. Thanks to those of you that did respond and offer eggs.
You would think that with as many post per day as the Okies have, they might deserve their own section so it could be broken down into Random Ramblings, B/S/T, get-togethers, things like that. I know BYC probably doesn't want to seem like they are favoring us, but it is pretty much impossible to post to the Okie forum with a question. I was looking for a pullorum tester last week and got no response. Posts just get lost too quickly.
I've had people from here ask me to post but I can't read 20+ pages a day to keep up with all the news. Maybe if all of us ask for our own section they might consider it? They'd probably find that it would really bring a lot of us out of the woodwork!
Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say Andi was taken care of. Thanks to those that listened to her. She was a little stressed out with school and kids and a surprise broody!
She's a really great person and loves to talk chickens!
