    Hello to all!
In the middle of this summer I had four hens and was getting 4 eggs per day most days. I bought 3 more hens and kept them in quarantine for a month, then moved them against the fence so hey could make friend's for three weeks and now they are all sharing the main coop for the last month.
The new girls were laying one to two eggs a day in quarantine, even though they were living in a 8ft dog kennel with plastic storage bins as shelter for them and their food. Not a luxury suite but they were warm and dry at night and safe. And they were laying eggs daily.
Now with all 7 in the same coop I am down to one or two eggs a day from the old chickens. Three weeks and not a single egg from the new girls.

Is this just timing with the loss of sunlight? Pecking order settling out? They all roost together each night.

    Thanks!!

Stress can cause a drop in egg laying, but it could just be loss of sunlight. Are the old ones hostile to the new, or vica-versa?

They all seem to be nice to each other. No fights or missing feathers.
