We have a upright freezer that went out and we have since bought a new one. the old one is just sitting there and i can't bring myself to throw it away i keep thinking it can be better used for other things. My husband came up with feed storage since the mice have invaded our shed and ripped into the feed. but i just want some input, throw me your ideas for a broke down freezer. And yes i'v thought of a incubator but i don't think i have the property to hatch that much and am afraid of what i would do. Any other ideas??

Flip it on it's back and use it to store feed. I mix my own feed and it would be nice to have something that big to store it in!!! You can also make a kegerator or smoker out of and old frig or freezer!!!!

They make GREAT feed containers! Put them up on pallets so it does not rust on the ground or concrete and keeps mice away. I've had an old freezer and feed trough but the freezer wins every time in storing feed!

I have 2 large chest freezers I use for Horse, goat and chicken feed. Made dividers out of plywood and used l brackets to hold in place. Works great!
