I've just noticed my 7-year-old barred rock sitting on her hocks. In other posts about this behavior, I've heard a Vit. B deficiency called out. I've got Durvet Probiotics Daily in their water; it contains riboflavin, as well as niacin, pantothenate acid and thiamine. But she doesn't seem to be drinking much, despite the heat. I've seen advice to use a "B-Complex" human vitamin, and I think she'd eat that crumbled on a treat, but is there any danger of overdosing? (I think it's water-soluble, so probably not.) All I have is a super stress B-complex, which has mega amounts of all the B vits.
At her age, I realize it could be something else, less benign; she isn't as active as she was, though she is eating and looks good. But crumbled B vit seems worth a try.
