From what we can put together someone just dumped him out near our house. I had seen him running around loose for about a month. Dec 12, the day our Cocker Spaniel passed away, Hubby and I went to each lunch with some friends and there he was, standing in the middle of the road near the church close to us, there were some people at the church, we stopped and asked if they knew who's dog he was, everyone there said he showed up about a month or so ago. He had no tags, but did have a collar. We picked him up and I opted to not run any ads, I did this because they are expensive dogs and I thought someone might come claim him to re-sell him. I searched high and low for all "Lost Dog" ads and checked with animal shelters, vets anywhere I could in the area. I took him to my vet and had him scanned for a microchip. Nothing showed up, I had him treated for Whip Worms and got him a Rabies Shot. I feel comfortable that I did everything to find the owner he has become very attached to us and the Jack Russells. I still fully believe that God had a hand in him finding us, he does a lot of things that Simba (Cocker Spaniel) did and the fact that we found him just a few hours before Simba died. I had this happen once before.
My Blue Heeler, I found her years after I hit and killed my own dog. The heeler, I believe was my other dogs kindred Spirit. I think Gordy is Simbas Kindred Spirit.
Anyway, he is a cool dog and we absolutely love him!
