OMG! I'm SO happy! Lookie what I found this morning! (PICS)

    I was just checking on the eggs like I do every morning, when Moody decides to get out and eat and look what I found!

    The daddy was taken by a hawk but he was a BR and the momma is actually a RIR but it's our BR broody that hatched it. [​IMG]

    Yes, he was still a little young, didn't have much to his spurs. Maybe that made it easier on the hawk? We also had a close encounter with a falcon getting one of our chicks. And I mean REAL close. It actually picked it up but for some reason dropped it. It's doing just fine now though. [​IMG]

    That is so cute, the one with the feather to the right looks like a fluffy tail! I had to look twice!

    We've only had chickens since November so this was such a wonderful surprise, hehe. [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Oh and my hubby bought 20 chicks today, LOL. Another surprise, lol. He told me "Now THESE will be for eating." Lol. I figure the ones we already had will be our pets and I can finish naming them, lol. [​IMG]
