A blue egg!! My first pretty blue egg. Shown outside in natural light next to one of my RIR eggs
I have like two more months before I will get a blue or green egg.
It is so pretty!
wow- that is really dark. Mine are such pale blue it's more like blue tint. Congrats!
okay, that settles it!!!! I'm gonna get me one of those blue egg layin chickens!!!!
Oooooooh, so pretty! How old is the chickie who gifted you with that beauty?
Quote:See, I already 'got me' one of those, and she's just about 26 weeks old. I'm just wondering, in comparison, how much longer might I have to wait.
This girl is about 23 weeks, W/BW Ameraucana. I've got 8 pullets, this is the first one to start laying. I've got 2 more the same age, and the rest are about a month younger. I can't wait till they are all laying.
I don't know what to do with it. Its to pretty to crack and eat. How do people blow out the egg to keep the shell?
CONGRATS!!! I love when people say what ?
Very nice and congrats!!
Congratulations!! It is beautiful!!
There is a whole thread devoted to blowing out and decorating eggs here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=160244
You should be able to find your answer there. If I knew I would tell you....keep meaning to read the thread and never seem to find the time.
