WE GOT OUR FIRST EGGS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOUR whole eggs, albeit a little small... lol. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

So question 1- these are ok to eat right? lol, bf just wanted me to make sure! [IMG]

2- He thinks they laid because he put golf balls in the coop with them, I think it's because we've been giving them all lots of yummy treats and goodies the last couple days... Is there any evidence golf balls make chickens lay? [IMG]

As far as I know, golf balls are only to show were to lay. [IMG]

My favorite way is poached but I don't have one of those little plastic poachers, so.... hmm maybe over easy!

Louieandthecrew I am actually a female!

putting golfballs in the laying boxes doesn't make the hens lay but it can show them where to lay [IMG] Another reason to put golfballs in the laying boxes is if you have snaked eating the hens eggs! i have that problem so I put them in the boxes. It is so that when the snake sences the egg it will eat the egg then think that the golfball is an egg, eat it, and die (They can't digest golfballs)
