OMG OMG PiP Pics IS THIS NORMAL

OMG I was in kitchen looking in bator like i always do kids at kitchen table. I said man i wish you guys would pip. Then about 10 mins later i came bk so first tiny crack then a tiny piece fell off. You can see a pin size hole but the rest of the crack is white and looks dry is this normal? I did here it cheep and move but nothen in a few hrs?

Give them time. It took a while for some of my eggs to get past their first pip. Whatever you do, DO NOT help it unless it hasn't gotten out of the egg in 36-48 hours. It is most likely resting and absorbing the yolk.

Yes that is perfectly normal, now the chickie will most likely rest for quite a while then it will start zipping! My chicks always hatch when it's dark, so maybe tomrrow morning you will wake to a new baby, that is if you will ever be able to sleep tonight, lol.

Thank you very much everyone for your input. Yes LOl this is my first time every hatch eggs. I am so excited kids are to we have everything ready for the new babies . I doubt I will sleep much. Yesterday temp was jumping around i was so afraid it would get to hot LOL a typical new chciken mom.

It's called a Pip!!! Patience and sit on your hands, they can take 24 hours or longer from a pip to zipping out.

Question, you still have them in the turner?
