Once you get a rooster

    and he's doing his job and the hens are letting him do his job :) Are all eggs then fertile? Or are they only fertile if the hen goes broody?

    The eggs will be fertile when they are laid, but won't develop embryos until they are incubated. It has nothing to do with a hen being broody.
