In the Brooder
I just put my 10 week old chickens in their coop. The first 2 nights all of them huddled in a corner and stayed there both nights. Night 3 they all tried to roost but for one pullet was having a tough time getting up to the roost. She did make it up once but got pushed down and she and the cockerel stayed on the floor in the corner. Last night (4th) all but the single pullet roosted. I have a chunk of wood in the coop that many of the others use to get to the roosts easier, but she hasn’t seemed to figure it out. Do I just give her time? I feel bad seeing her all alone at night.
