Hi all! Our chicks arrived yesterday - My toddler and I have been watching live chick TV non-stop!
Unfortunately one of our chicks died ~8hrs after arriving home. Gave her nutridrench straight and warm water via a dropper, but she faded away. Thanks to a thread I'd seen on this forum I had her nestled in a wrap around my neck so she stayed warm and comforted until she passed.
Anyway, that showed me I was totally unprepared for how to handle a situation where I'd need to segregate a chick. I would prefer not to buy another heating pad. My husband and I have been brainstorming ideas about a wire "segregation pen" that could be partially under the MHP - has anyone made anything like this successfully?
