One More Topic: Jewelry + Chicks

Has anyone ever had chicks or chickens eat jewelry?
When I first got into chicks again after years of not having any.... my first pet roo chick ATE my nose ring! the little stud and I waited for hours for him to poo it out and finally gave up... but was wondering if anyone ever had this happen?

I have had mine try to get stones out of a ring and one tried to eat a rather large charm from my necklace..

My parrots have had an ongoing fascination with rings and earrings.

Beakie (deceased) has ripped out more earrings than I can say, so he was banned from my shoulders unless I had taken out my earrings first.

Cookie (macaw) managed to grab onto my wedding ring and removed one of the diamonds and got one of my garnets from a right handed ring too....

They try to peck my rings off, and the eyelets on my boots. I've heard of many bird species being attracted to "shiny things", but nobody ever mentions chickens. Maybe because they are domestic.

We used to raise Chinese geese & once when I was kneeling down talking to them, one of them came up behind me & clamped down hard on my ear & sucked my black pearl earring right out of it! since they were all milling around me and all white, I had no idea which one was the culprit.
