One of my 3 day olds died.....

Im so sad. She got out through the slots on the cage and made her way outside. She froze to death. Im going to my inlaws tonight to make a wooden box with a hardware cloth cover. Im not losing anymore like that. Poor little thing. The worst part is checked in them at 2. I went back out at 5 and she was dead.

Here she was. My first little Polish baby.

I agree, don't beat yourself up. It doesn't take much of a mistake with chickens. Many of us can attest to that. Sorry you lost the chick.
