We found the largest egg we have ever seen yesterday in the nest boxes. I immediately crossed my legs and pitied the poor hen who laid it. Never in my life have I seen a chicken egg that large. It measures almost 3 inches in length and almost 2 inches in width. It weighs 3.7oz. I wish my camera would cooperate a little more. I was attempting to get a picture of the egg with a typical size egg, but the batteries had other ideas. Will post later after I get some new ones put in.

YIKES! I'm doing the whole clenching-together-the-legs bit. But congrats and God bless the heart of that poor hen..
