I counted them 10 times before I really believed it. The wire is intact all around the perimeter. My coop is an A frame raised 3 feet off the ground. The ends of the A are hinged to give access to the nesting boxes. They are pretty heavy. The sex-links tend to roost on the nest boxes and not the roost. Could a raccoon opened the heavy flap and carried one away? There is no sign of the chicken anywhere, no feathers, blood or anything.

The coops and run are inside my fenced yard. I guess my 2 (worthless) german shepards were to busy barking at deer to keep something from carrying off a chicken. So much my security force.

What kind of latches can keep out a coon, if that is likely what it is? We are surrounded by forest so there is abundant wildlife around here. Would it help if I tied the stupid dog to the coop?

Racoons are pretty good at opening doors/windows latches etc... they have those cute little fingers and they're smart.

Sorry your chicken is missing - perhaps she got out on her own??
