A year ago I ordered some Speckled Sussex through a local feed store. I was told they came from a hatchery in New Mexico. They are all grown and laying but they don't weigh over 2 lbs each ( if that). This dual purpose breed is supposed to be around 7 lbs! Also, their eggs are small. Otherwise they appear happy and healthy. They've been fed properly and free range in the daytime. I am perplexed and disappointed. Feedback appreciated!
