We've used Cackle Hatchery and been very pleased with both their service and the birds. Happy, healthy chicks, really nice, helpful people when you call. The sexing is good, I ordered 25 pullets and ended up with one roo. Not too bad at all. I'll order from them again in spring.

I just placed an order recently with Mt. Healthy for 50 BO straight run, received all of them healthy and happy, and got an additional 25 RIR's free as a bonus. All of them arrived the day after they shipped to Middle Tennessee, and I have read reports of them arriving in 2 days all the way up to Alaska, so Louisiana should not be a problem for them.
