Nice coop!
For the run you could just pick lots of grass and put it in there since they it's easy to dispose of and anyone can get grass for free.

Zip ties work good for leg bands but depending on hoe old the ducks are they can cause problems with growing etc.

OK so pretty much just keep an eye on them and make sure there is alway plenty of space around the zip tie.

Yep, after a while you should be able to tell the difference. I have 3 pekins, 2 drakes and 1 duck and after a few months I could tell the difference
