Operation Migration

    I've recently stumbled upon operation migration. They lead flocks of Wooping Cranes on their anual migrations using Ultra Light Planes.

    Has anyone else heard of them? They had a flyover in Florida Yesterday.

    Yes, I watched a documentary on that a while ago. I think it's awesome and totally worth the effort to get the numbers of whoopers up!

    Acoording to them the current number is 96. There a couple missing in action, though. I just love reading their field journal.
