So I have a flock of 5, 6-7 week old chicks. They completely outgrew their containment area in my house, and i felt it was best to move them into the coop. I did move the brooder light into the coop as well and put in a heater just to keep the coop temp at 65 at least (aside the brooder light) I have been checking on then for couple of days now and they seem to be doing ok. But they are chickens ha ha it is tough to say. So need opinions. Do you think that is enough for them to do well? Do I need to keep it warmer i the whole coop? Is 65 in general room temp and a brooder light spot enough? Oh yes outside temps go down to 50 degrees these nights around here. :( I worry.
