I used to raise Golden Polish and they were delightful birds, generally very friendly and docile, although I did have one Polish rooster named Ivan who was the meanest chicken I ever had. Because they are light birds and their feathered crests impedes their vision, they tend to get picked on by other breeds, so I ended up having to separate them from the main flock (along with my Black Silkies) for the same reason and the Polish and Silkies got along fabulously together. As far as laying goes, my Polish were very inconsistent. Some of them would lay as many as 4 eggs per week and others only 1 or 2 in a week. Their eggs are white and somewhat on the small side.
