My cute Splash Silkies neck feathers are reminding me of how my gray Silkie turned out to be a roo, but it only has a small flatish comb and head poof still seems pompom'ish. I am confused! S/he is 5 1/2 months old now. No hint of crowing or egg laying. Doesn't fight or try to be dominant. I was making freaky noises when I took the first pic, so s/he was on alert...not normal stance.

Anyone have any suggestions on Josie's gender? Josie might need a new name.

    Yay [IMG]

Actually I bought a box with 8 splash Silkies in it at the sale about 3 months ago...they were $2.50 each. I gave 2 to a friend, 3 to silkieluver_07 and I kept 3, but the other 2 looked like boys early so I resold them. I was really hoping this one was a girl!

Thank you for all the help!

I love her too, she's a real sweetheart! I'm trying to only keep pullets/hens in my bantam coop, so I really had my fingers crossed on this one!
