I found a used Kuhl incubator and hatcher for sale, they hatched Emu eggs, and they are asking for 1200 a piece. I did call the Kuhl company and they said a brand new one would be 8000.00 for incubator and 4000.00 for hatcher. They basically inherited both, so my question is I have 1600.00 saved to buy a cabinet incubator, should i make an offer or is there a better cabinet incubator that I should spend my money on? They did say make a reasonable offer?

PS Getting tired of running 5 small incubators
4/7/12 UPDATE: After driving 3 hours to look at these, they required waytoo much work and they were HUGE!!!!!! So didn't purchase them(they are still available).
So decided to make my own fridge bator

If they are running and in good shape, I personally would go for it. I paid a little more than what you have saved for a new Dickeys incubator and a Dickeys hatcher. I love them. They are not that big though. Those look like they would hold twice what a typical cabinet incubator would so you are getting almost two for the price of one.

That is so awesome. I am happy for you and a little bit jealous. Let us know how they look when you get them.

Will be picking them up Friday, a 2 hour drive from Cody but well worth it! Am really trying to convince my DH that this won't be a chicken farm [IMG] and he's not buying it.
