I have 10 girls,10 month old, and I get 6-9 eggs per day.Even during the lousy weather we just had.The last 2 or 3 dozen had very odd yolks.A layer of dark orange around a yellow inside. No bad smell or taste and it does not seem to be blood, just a dark orange color. They are eating 16% layer pellets, for treats they get grass, some fruits and cooked white rice several days a week.Nobody appears to be sick.Could the cold be to blame?Their water froze for several days and we carried water for them a couple of times a day.Maybe they did not drink very much?Anyone ever seen this?

Sorry,no pics. It's like the yolk is orange on the outside and yellow on the inside.Definitely not blood.
