Ordered a straight run of 15. How many Roos do you see

Hey everybody. So about a week ago my 2 month old fancies started crowing in the AM. So I’ve identified 3 culprits. 2 Crevecouers and one EE.

Now I’m suspecting more cause the two turkens look nothing alike facially one has red comb and wattle the other is black matching her colors

Please can you take a look at a few shots a tell me if you think I have Roos.

As I said. I know about the two blacks and you’ve confirmed the EE before. Others?

Yes. That ring of black feathers around the neck without any obvious lacing is cockerel coloration as are the white patches on the wings. Pullets feather in with more even coloring all over.

Yeah that is a lot of cockerels. Bummer. I would wait a bit on re-homing the #4 and #5 if you can. just in case. They are probably cockerels, though, with those largish red wattles at so young an age. Come to think of it, Cervecouers shouldn't have wattles, they should have beards and muffs instead, but hatchery birds are never perfect. Good luck. Don't forget we have state threads on BYC when you start looking to rehome some of those cockerels-- you might get lucky. You might even be able to sell the Crevecouers, since crested breeds are popular.
