I have found an individual who has organic, non-GMO chicken feed for people in the Springfield, MO area. Previously this individual sold his feed by the ton. He is now bagging it in 50 pound bags. He should have some this Friday, November 30. If you are interested in going in on an order please let me know. He prefers to sell 10 bags at a time. I am willing to buy 5 bags. If you are interested please let me know as this will involved a drive on my part of approximately 80 miles round trip.

Consider that nearly 80% of corn, as well as soy and canola, produced in this nation is GMO. Laboratory rats who were being fed GMO corn began developing cancerous tumors in 4 months. Typically GMO corn has glyphosate The companies producing the GMO corn were able to convince the FDA to test over a three month period, thereby hiding the dangers of GMO corn. Here are some articles about the dangers of: http://www.motherearthnews.com/Orga...ards-of-the-Worlds-Most-Common-Herbicide.aspx and http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...+link&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=d&gl=us&strip=0.

    Hi Cute Egg,

The cost is $23.50 for a 50 pound bag. I called the seller yesterday. He normally does not sell by the bag, but said he would try to have them ready by Friday if I can commit to 10 bags. He does not want to sell less than 10 bags. I can barely afford 5 bags and it is a 40 mile drive one way, so I am waiting on some other individuals to help me with the remaining bags. If you are interested let me know and I will PM you my phone number.

I'm not bothered by GMO, but I'm always interested in organic food.

I'd like to know what all the ingredients are though, and the percentage of protein, and the split if applicable (animal/plant) and if there is soy in his feed. If there is animal protein, I would assume those animals are raised organically as well since they have to be in order to label any food source from them as organic.

What is the percentage of crude fat? crude fiber?

Is this chick starter? Layer feed? Other? What type of feed is it for what age of chicken? Does this person have a website or something anywhere that states all of the ingredients in the order in which they are applied to the feed (indicating which ingredients are the mains, etc).

Maybe it's just me but I won't feed my animals anything if I don't even know what's in it.

I do live within 2 hours of Springfield...so my response isn't just being annoying/trolling - I might be interested in buying a bag depending on the ingredients and percentages.

    Clucky Charms,

I haven't asked about the percentage of crude fat or crude fiber. It is layer feed. If I remember there is no soy in the feed. I found out about him from someone who buys her feed by the ton. The individual selling the feed is Mennonite, so that is good enough for me.

Do you still have access to non-gmo chicken layer feed? If so, please let me know. I would like to buy a bag.

This may be an old string, but do you still have the "Organic Chicken Feed" contact in the Springfield area? Thank you.
