What brand feed is best for Organic? Also what is the advantage to corn and soy free??

The corn and soy free topics have been debated ad nausum here, do a quick search to find all the threads.

Corn = filler, just like with human food. Avoid it if possible - you and your chickens.

To see which is best, look at the ingredients and the % contents - they will all have a listing- usually on a slip attached ot the bag.

Thanks so much. I was able to find Modesto Milling organic feed locally. They have a corn and soy free feed.

Corn is NOT filler, it is a valuable source of carbohydrates in livestock rations, especially monogastric diets.

Corn is still just a filler if you like it or not!

Quote:Believe what you want, but corn is NOT a filler. As I stated in my other post corn is a highly digestible source of carbohydrates.
