orpingtons????

    ok, my friend has 3 hens, and they look like orpingtons, but......they hav black in their back tail feathers???their is also a little bit of black around the neck too.....help.....i want to find out!!!!!!

    Is it possible they have both Buff orpington and BBS orpington blood?

    they had pinkish legs....if that helps, and single comb

    Yellow legs+ rosecomb= Wyandotte Pink legs + single comb= Orpington

    I bought some orps from someone once and they ended up being orp/rock mix and they were the sweetest things ever! One did end up with the pink legs but a dog got her! [​IMG] Here is the thread on that if your interested in finding out what others had to say about what orps should look like. ALso some nice pictures in there too.
