My husband installed a piece of wood in the babies brooder as a place for them to roost and I never thought after only a few hours these 10 day old chicks would actually be sleeping on it but my husband was oh so proud to show me it worked. I should know better by now than to doubt him or those amazing lil peeps:bow[IMG]

So cute!! Love to see those little ones on a roost. If these are your first, you will adore your Buffs [IMG] mine are very sweet and friendly.

I call it "chick on a stick" [IMG] Now aren't you glad he put in that little roost?

Funny thing will be when they get a bit older and "out of the brooder" and there is no light they will all sleep in a pile. Then one day, they all decide the dark is ok and start roosting like big girls.
