It's day 22 today and at 9am this morning all five eggs had pipped. At 2.30pm we had one gorgeous fluffy butt and one freshly hatched chick. The other three are making progress but are not quite there yet.

This is our first hatch and the kids, hubby and I are all very excited. Rosie our pekin batam is so far doing a wonderful job hatching out the sussex eggs donated to us by a friend. Her adopted babies will be twice her size when older, that will be funny to see.

Hopefully these pics will work - here is the mummy and her chicks

Oh yes, I know how excited you all must be right now. My little white Bantam, Lilly hatched out 6 of my big hen eggs on Labor Day, and yes, it's so funny watching all of them together now since they are already half her size, LOL, especially when she gives her little warning cluck and they all try to get under her. I have them in a big pen that's above ground and is snake, raccoon & possum proof, but she's still very protective.

Please post more pics when all the chicks hatch out.
