I love her coloring! And her eyes look like they have mascara on =D Her name is Madam Pebbles. She's the smartest one of all six of our chicks! 9 days old.

Is she a sexed female chick? If not, I believe she is coloring out male.

Oh NO!! Don't tell me she's a male! I will be so sad because she (he?) is my favorite of the bunch. She was sexed (at least that's what our local farm co-op said), but I've read that sexing is not 100%. I'm still really new to chickens... What about her (his) coloring makes you think male?

I have one just like her, she was in a bin at my farm store, they were have darker colored ones and half colored like yours. All sexed pullets, I am pretty sure the hatchery did not miss sex 50% of the chicks in the bin. I have been told she will be a light Wheaten color or Silver Duckwing colored. I wouldn't worry until she is 4-5 months old to know sex for sure. Just love on her.
