our chicken coop and run

I built this run along the side of garage, it is 5 ft x 25 ft with cedar fence all around and chicken wire buried 2 feet down (after first kill by neighbor's dog). The top is made out of some plastic/vinyl netting attached to seperate sections for easy removal. The actual coop is 4x4 for 4 americaunas and 2 silkies (just added), need a bigger coop but hope it gets me through winter. Just wanted to share the completed job.

Just getting started, my wife wanted chickens and I took over, very exciting. I browsed this site to get alot of ideas. I am just not satisfied yet, must be a chicken bug like the jeep bug.

It looks nice. My only suggestion would be to put a gutter along the roof line. When it rains you will have a lot of water running into your pen. With chickens, it will get really muddy and nasty. The coop is really cute!

I agree, a gutter- but what a NICE coop and run. . .love the bright red!
