I've read that they would but to actually see it in action is another thing! Not that I've actually seen them scratching in it but you can tell where they've been. Tomorrow my goal is to actually catch them in the act.
I can't imagine ever having cows and not chickens. They don't mess with the dog or goat poo from what we can tell but that's fine, its the cows that are leaving the bigger presents.
