Songster
we finally finished the coop for our 6 chicks, 1 silkie and toulouse gosling and all we have left to do is the run
ok get ready their is a BUNCH of pics
here it was at first when we started
and then
and then before we painted it
and here it is all finished
we put in these sky lights
and these are the 3 nest boxes with curtains over them
and then their is a roost over the nest boxes and linoleum on top of the nest boxes which are used as dropping boards
we also have linoleum on the floor and in the nest boxes so it is easy to clean
and we put in this thing which used to be the base of a fish tank but now is used to hold extra pine shavings
and here is the chicken door
and some extra hay that the chicks like to fly on
and here is a window covered with hardware cloth
and then here is delilah the toulouse goose who sort of acts like a mother to the chicks and a rooster for my hens
and then here are the chicks
so do you think the coop looks predator proof? and i have a cochin, silkie, ee, orpington, barred rock, brahma and jersey giant, so which of those breeds do you think will be able to fly up to the perch over the nest box? i know the my silkie cant but incase the others cant i have a perch that is lower to the ground in the corner.
