we finally finished the coop for our 6 chicks, 1 silkie and toulouse gosling and all we have left to do is the run [IMG]
ok get ready their is a BUNCH of pics [IMG]
here it was at first when we started
    [IMG]
    and then
    [IMG]
and then before we painted it
    [IMG]
and here it is all finished [IMG]
we put in these sky lights
    [IMG]
and these are the 3 nest boxes with curtains over them
    [IMG]
and then their is a roost over the nest boxes and linoleum on top of the nest boxes which are used as dropping boards
    [IMG]
we also have linoleum on the floor and in the nest boxes so it is easy to clean
    [IMG]
and we put in this thing which used to be the base of a fish tank but now is used to hold extra pine shavings
    [IMG]
and here is the chicken door
    [IMG]
and some extra hay that the chicks like to fly on
    [IMG]
and here is a window covered with hardware cloth
    [IMG]
and then here is delilah the toulouse goose who sort of acts like a mother to the chicks and a rooster for my hens
    [IMG]
and then here are the chicks
    [IMG]

so do you think the coop looks predator proof? and i have a cochin, silkie, ee, orpington, barred rock, brahma and jersey giant, so which of those breeds do you think will be able to fly up to the perch over the nest box? i know the my silkie cant but incase the others cant i have a perch that is lower to the ground in the corner.

very nice, well built and spacious for your babies. I cracked up at the lock on the inside of the chicken door, as if they could lock it and say NO we are not coming out. I liked that you raised it off the ground, thats extra protection. I think you don't have to worry about predators. congrats on a great job
