This morning our English Setter, Lady, caught a wild rabbit after chasing it all over the yard. My DH said that she carried it all around the yard and then laid it in front of her dog house. He thought it was dead and was going to get it away from her when he saw it was still breathing. He then called Lady away from it and it jumped up and ran away. Lady has the bird dog soft mouth so it was not hurt. Not bad for an 11 year old dog. She think anything wild is fair game, but doesn't bother my chickens. This is the 3rd rabbit she's caught. She likes fast food. She's one heck of a mouser.
