Our first baby!!!

We had our first egg hatch! Such a sweet little mule duck. Unfortunately her purebred brothers and sisters won't hatch for another week almost. Hoping our hen doesn't give up on the eggs before they do since this little guy was early and unexpected

If you leave the duckling with the mother, she may very well break broodiness within the next day or so. Do you have an incubator? Or you could place the duckling in a brooder with a mirror for company until the rest hatch.

We brought it inside. Chicken kicked it out of the nesting box. Shes still sitting on the other eggs. I have a heat system set up and water out but I don't have chick or water fowl starter to feed it. Any suggestions? I'm going to get some as soon as we're paid this week. Grabbing a mirror now
