Our first coop!

here is our first coop, we used a new coop and an old tree house to make a new coop for my babies.

the chicks are inside, they are only 5 weeks old. I only let them out when I with them

Great coop and run, but I would really suggest making some big windows in that coop, as chickens do best with lots of fresh air circulating. And the more light they get, the more eggs you get according to research. You also minimize smells and disease with more open windows and fresh air. Other than that, great job!

In the bottom pic them look just like mine but a lil younger what are yours the golden color?

Nice looking coop. You might want to consider a gutter to direct the water coming off the roof to the outside of the run area. Just a thought.

It does have a window of the far side (not shown) and in the front is a big door with a little door inside that I plan to open up for them when they are outside. Thanks so much for the input, I will talk to DH about a gutter for the rain. If I put more windows in how will it stay warm in the winter. I need to take pictures of the inside and share. will do that tomorrow.
